The BroCode To Profitable Business Ideas!

Posted Under: Entrepreneur, Pre-Startup, Startup

So, I came across and was flipping through this book title “The Bro Code“, a New York Times Bestseller by Barney Stinson & Matt Kuhn… The book is the code of conduct, the holy grail, the bible for the Bros world over… What caught my eye was Article75 listed on page 98 & 99 of this super humorous book full of wit and wisdom! The article 75 says a real Bro always fancies up the job description of another Bro, when introducing him to a girl and that can include inventing  job titles and descriptions based on what women find attractive and interesting. Here’s a quick snippet from the book:

Finding or let’s say inventing a profitable business idea is not so different either… Here’s how you do it – Make 4 columns on a piece of paper – 1. Skills & Strengths, 2. Things I love to do/ Passion/ Something I always wanted to do, 3. Problems/ Gaps/ Issues you see around you and businesses around you, and 4. Ideas. Now, write down as many items under first three columns & once you believe you have all what you can think of for first three columns, do a fun matchmaking exercise of items from first three columns to fill the fourth column with ideas. Only one condition for matchmaking, the combinations you come up with should be something people would pay for. The worksheet would look something like –

So, if you hate what you do, and a clear sign of that is – ‘lunch is what you look forward to the most at your work’, then follow this BroCode approach to invent a HOT and profitable business for yourself… oh and here’s what The Bro Code version of this approach to inventing profitable business ideas would look like…
